Built of rammed earth and well connected to the public realm, encouraging intercultural meeting and dialogue. A welcoming coourtyard was proposed and located in-between the public realm and the mosque. Rammed earth has been proposed for main construction material, due to it’s sustainability and symbolism. A physical embodiment of opposing earthly and spiritual elements, the building provides place and scenery for prayer, reflection, inspiration, study and meeting.
