Forest City of Tomorrow. We proposed to think beyond the life-time of contemporary buildings. Can forest be a setting for a new urban fabric? In our proposal dense, two to four-floor quarters provide a rhythm of streets and squares within a forest setting. This allows residents to connect with nature and landscape, positively affects their physical and mental health, supports social and economic development. A Forest City helps to mitigate the climate change and supports biodiversity and wildlife habitats, among many other benefits. At the End of Life homes would be disassembled and their components may be reused and recycled. Urban Forest will be retained and can be repurposed for future generations.
